Diamond Resorts to Purchase Sunterra?

Breaking news from the Street Talk blog:
Sunterra Corporation today acknowledged, in response to a story issued by The Wall Street Journal, it is in discussions with Las Vegas-based Diamond Resorts, LLC regarding the possible acquisition of Sunterra, however, the company said it has not signed an agreement.
There can be no assurance that any transaction will occur or, if undertaken, the terms or timing of such a transaction.
Sunterra said it will make no further comments at this time. [more]
